Lavender Info

The scientific name of the flower Lavender is Lavandula angustifolia. As most people would know, there’s a colour that is derived or named completely after the colour of this particular flower. These flowers are normally perennials and they are often known to occur in the form of shrubs. The most famous use of the Lavender flower is perhaps the much used Lavender oil that can be extracted from the leaves of the plant.

The calyx of this flower is tubular in shape and so is the corolla. Usually, it is seen to consist of five separate lobes. This is all about the Lavender flower in short.
